A Legend And His Icons Since 1913
In 1913, Irving Schott founded SCHOTT NYC on the Lower East Side in New York. In 1928, he invents the first leather motorbike jacket for Harley Davidson: the "Perfecto" is born, named after Irving Schott's favorite Italian cigar. It´s triumphal march began and all around the world the “Perfecto” stands as a symbol of freedom, rebellion and adventure.
The Perfecto reached its peak in 1953 in the film "The Wild One" with Marlon Brando. Since then, Schott NYC jackets have been the companions of the protagonists of the "Art of Rebellion", "Rock 'n' Roll" and the punk scene: James Dean, Marlon Brando, Peter Fonda, The Clash, Sex Pistoles, The Ramones ... up to stars like Rihanna, Jay Z, Kanye West today.
The brand's collections include other iconic jackets in addition to the Perfecto. Schott is more successful than ever before: the Peacoat, Flight Jacket, Bomber Jacket and the Cafe Racer Jacket are among the bestsellers alongside the Perfecto and make the brand unmistakable.
